Day 1 Board
your flight to Costa Rica. Arrive in the capital of San José.
Gather your thoughts and luggage and get to know your guide
and fellow travelers. We will get you to the hotel where you
can unwind and relax. Eat a great meal and plan your next
day.
Day 2 Rainforest
excursions. With the guide or on your own. Visit Lankester
Gardens where you can marvel at almost 1000 species of Orchids.
Day 3 Butterfly
Farm. Visit the Butterfly Farm, over 3 acres of rain forest
canopy enclosed in netting that is home to millions of butterflies,
representing thousands of species.
Day 4 Arenal
Volcano - Howler Monkeys frolic in the tree tops announcing
your arrival as Wild Parrots and Toucans abound. You are immediately
surrounded by lush green rain forest teaming with life.
Day 5 The
Iguana farm and a visit to the Bri Bri Indian park and Banana
plantation. Enjoy an afternoon at the Iguana Ranch managed
by the Bri Bri Indian Tribe, Indigenous here for 1000 years.
Iguanas here grow to 10 feet long.
Day 6 Head
down to the Pacific coast Hermosa (the Beautiful) beach. Wind
down the mountains past world renowned coffee plantations.
Stop at the Carara Biological Reserve and share the tropical
forest with monkeys, toucans, parrots, and wild cats. On the
river banks crocodiles bask in the warn sun, waiting for unsuspecting
tourists.
Day 7 Head
to the hot springs and relax beneath the lush tropical canopy.
Head to the villages and shop, eat, and mix with the natives.
Day 8 Head
back to San José on a leisurely ride through the cloud forest,
a wild nature preserve. Stop for a lunch in rural towns and
meet the friendly locals.
